The Other Girl in the Mirror

The Other Girl in the Mirror

On her 6th birthday, Colbie's parents find her a lovely vanity left on the side of the road. Years later, Colbie begins to notice strange things in the mirror. At first, it's little things. Objects reflected in the mirror are different colors, or things simply aren't reflecting back. But soon she begins to notice more and more things are off. Posters on the wall display different faces, books have the wrong author. Then one day she realizes, to her terror and amazement, that her reflection in the mirror is different as well. One morning she writes a simple note and holds it up.
WHO ARE YOU?
The reflection on the paper was not what she expected to see.
I THINK I'M JUST LIKE YOU.
They soon realize that the mirror is simply a window that connects two parallel universes, each side nearly identical with their own. Some of the differences are small, but others are staggering. Each difference highlighted by a slightly different choice that was made somewhere along a chain of events. As time progresses and choices become more difficult, the differences between the two Colbies begin to grow. Colbie struggles watching her other self in the mirror change in ways that she can't imagine. But it's when her other self's world begins to fall to pieces that she becomes desperate to help her put it back together again. But how can she help when her only channel of communication is written words through a mirror?

My First Online Novel

Come on a Journey with Me

I am very excited to begin the process of writing my next novel and posting each chapter online for people to read them as I write. Hopefully this process will help me keep a good pace and I am hoping that people will comment both positive and negative feedback so I can shape and mold this story into something great.

So let's get thing started. I'm pretty excited about the idea and the process.

The title of the story is called The Other Girl in the Mirror. Synopsis to come soon.
